Fashion is one of my passions. If I had to add another heartbeat to the five, fashion would be it! It’s fun and it stirs my creativity. I’ve always been drawn to style since I was young girl growing up. As a pre-teen, I thoroughly enjoyed watching my mother, grandmother and older cousins dress up. When I became of age to begin styling and picking out clothes for myself, my passion for fashion multiplied.

I recently attended New York Fashion week. I appeared at different fashion showcases and events to cover as a blogger/influencer. One of the shows I attended, was hosted by two African-American teenage girl designers. When I came across this event in the schedule of showcases, I immediately reached out to the contact listed.  As a community organizer in the city I reside, we work with youth to build leadership and one of the positive outcomes we promote is entrepreneurship. This show was right up our alley!

The moment we walked into the venue of this show, we knew it would be excellent. The aura, the décor, the layout, the friendliness and service from the family and friends helping run the show. It was truly impeccable.

Xotic x.x.x a unisex luxury apparel line!  New and on the rise designers, twins Christine and Christina of Brooklyn, New York are 19 years young! Beautiful, humble & driven. They launched their clothing line Xotic x.x.x one year ago in 2018. It all began when they came out with their own lip gloss line and decided they wanted to go a bit further. They’ve always been known as the “fashionistas” of their family. Why not design a clothing brand?

This was the first show that Xotic x.x.x has put on and boy did they put it on! The venue choice, the lighting, the ambience, DJ, food, drinks, the layout and of course the apparel that hit the runway. Body suits, sweat suits, jackets and more.

Christine and Christina are being intentional as they grown their brand. They have a 24-hour live chat, availing themselves to their peers and other teenagers who battle with issues such as bullying, violence etc.

Check out the vlog posted of our interview, at New York Fashion Week. These young ladies inspired me. I’ll be following their journey and praying for their success. Join me in doing the same.
